Jessica Herring is a singer-songwriter and pianist whose willingness to explore new ventures in music and amazing harmonization ability has her poised to be an important part of the music industry.
Born and raised in Chandler, OK, Herring began her music journey at an early age. At age 6 Herring began piano lessons with Chandler’s local classical piano teacher Vaughn Taylor. At age 16, Herring expanded her knowledge of piano by studying under Trish Lenora, a skilled accompanist in Chandler. While attending Chandler High School, Herring was also involved with marching band, choir, and theater. Upon graduating Chandler High School, Herring attended the University of Central Oklahoma to pursue a degree in vocal performance. In the fall of 2010, Herring started studying contemporary vocal performance at the Academy of Contemporary Music at the University of Central Oklahoma (ACM@UCO). This past May, she accomplished her goal of attaining her degree in vocal performance from ACM@UCO, and is currently gigging every weekend to earn her living.
